Online Presentation: Unpacking The Past with Silvia Foti and Grant Gochin Thursday, September 30th, 1 -2 pm
The Institute of Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Raritan Valley Community College is pleased to present Silvia Foti and Grant Gochin as they address Holocaust revisionism in Lithuania. Ms. Foti will share her family's history through her profoundly moving book, The Nazi's Grandaughter: How I Discovered My Grandfather Was a War Criminal. Ms. Foti and Mr. Gochin will discuss their efforts to expose the truth of what happened during the Holocaust in Lithuania. Q&A with the attendees will follow the presentation.

Silvia Foti
Silvia Foti MSJ, MAT, MFA, is an American journalist, creative writer, teacher, and mother. Ms. Foti holds Masters’ degrees in Journalism, Education, and Creative Nonfiction, has been a journalist for twenty years, has published two mystery novels, and has been a high school English teacher since 2007. Her most recent book was published in March 2021, The Nazi's Granddaughter: How I discovered My Grandfather Was A War Criminal. This book follows her research on the deeds of her grandfather, Jonas Noreika, who was an alleged perpetrator in the Holocaust in Lithuania
Grant Gochin
Honorary Consul for the Republic of Togo
Grant Arthur Gochin currently serves as the Honorary Consul for the Republic of Togo, and as Vice Dean of the Los Angeles Consular Corps, the second largest Consular Corps in the world. In March 2018, he was appointed as the Special Envoy for Diaspora Affairs for the African Union, which represents the fifty-five African nations. Gochin is actively involved in Jewish affairs, focusing on historical justice. He has spent the past thirty years documenting and restoring signs of Jewish life in Lithuania. He has served as the Chair of the Maceva Project in Lithuania, which mapped / inventoried / documented / restored over fifty abandoned and neglected Jewish cemeteries. Gochin is the author of “Malice, Murder and Manipulation”, published in 2013. His book documents his family history of oppression in Lithuania. He is presently working on a project to expose the current Holocaust revisionism within the Lithuanian government. The Granddaughter of the murderer of Grant’s family, Silvia Foti,
