International Kristallnacht Commemoration and Virtual Kick-off Tour of the Montreal Holocaust Museum Exhibit
Wednesday, November 10th at 10 am EST. A Live Online International Kristallnacht Commemoration with the Kick-off Virtual Tour of the Montreal Holocaust Museum Exhibit including testimony with Elie Dawang, one of the survivors highlighted in the exhibit. There will be a Q&A with Elie Dawang following the presentation. This event is being co-hosted Internationally with Eszter Andor, Commemoration and Oral History Coordinator from The Montreal Holocaust Museum, and Michelle Edgar, Program Specialist from Raritan Valley Comunity College Institute of Holocaust and Genocide Studies.

Elie Dawang was born to Lithuanian-Jewish parents in 1934 in Paris, France. His father, Faiwish, had a radio manufacturing business, and his mother, Shaina, was a housewife. Elie was six years old when the Germans occupied France. His harrowing story of survival is highlighted in the Montreal Holocaust Museum Exhibit currently open to the public at RVCC, And in 1948, I Came to Canada: The Holocaust in Six Dates. We are honored to hear from Elie Dawang during our Kristallnacht Commemoration.
